“Soap was an experiment, something I learned on my own in my own kitchen. When I made the perfect combination of ingredients, and getting to share it with everyone, that’s why I do this”

Jackie said when I asked her how she got started making soap. Her inspiration: her family; and educating those around about the importance of having quality ingredients and no harmful chemicals in the products that soak into their skin.

The shop, now 10 years old, has gone through many stages of transition and has grown immensely. The store first opened its doors in 2007 on the main street in Gananoque, soon thereafter it moved to the waterfront, hoping to capture more of the tourist traffic in the summer months. After 4 years of soaking up the sun on the waterfront, it was time for a big move. Settling into a historic building in downtown Kingston, and quickly becoming part its heritage.

Over the years Jackie and the soap company have been recognized for their efforts, being nominated for Business of the year in 2013 and Women Business of the Year in 2014 and 2015. Their business coalitions include Olive Oil Company, NORTHSIDE espresso + kitchen, Hip Kids, Kingston Information Center, Small Batch Cafe, Bergeron Estates Winery, Tango Nuevo, Immerse Spa, Mocha Studio, Improbable Escapes, Secret Garden Inn, Wiccan Trinity, Northshore, Reiki on Wheels and more.
